Upload a video clip, describe what you want to change, and Kling O3 rewrites the action while keeping the scene recognizable. No reference image needed. The prompt drives everything.
This is the edit mode. Use it when you want to change what's happening in footage you already have.
How do you edit a video with Kling O3?
Upload your source clip, write a prompt describing the action you want, and Kling O3 applies the edit. Shot type controls framing. Audio carries through by default. No reference image required.
Prompt Describe the action you want in the output. The example in the workflow: "make the man stand, walk and talk." Be specific about what changes. Vague mood words ("cinematic," "dramatic") tend to affect the whole clip in ways that are hard to control, so focus on the action.
Shot type "Customize" by default, letting your prompt steer the framing. Switch to a specific option if you want the camera angle locked regardless of what the prompt says.
Keep audio On by default. Your original audio track passes into the output MP4. Turn it off if the audio doesn't match the edited action.
What is Kling O3 video editing good for?
Kling O3 edit mode works best when you have a clip with the right composition but the wrong action. You're not replacing the subject or restyling the footage — you're changing what happens in a scene that's already mostly there.
Good scenarios: a static or low-motion shot you want to animate with specific action. Footage where the framing is right but the performance needs to change. Quick action edits where you don't need subject-level reference control.
If you need the output subject to match a specific person or character, use the Reference workflow instead. Edit mode has no reference image slot — the prompt alone shapes the output.
FAQ
What's the difference between Kling O3 edit mode and reference mode? Edit mode rewrites the action in your clip based on a text prompt. Reference mode does the same but also anchors the subject's appearance to a reference image you provide. Use edit mode for action changes. Use reference mode when the subject's look needs to match something specific.
What kind of prompt works best in Kling O3 video editing? Specific action descriptions. "Man stands up and walks toward camera" works better than "dynamic cinematic movement." The model follows action instructions closely. Style language is harder to control and tends to bleed across the whole clip.
Does Kling O3 video editing preserve the original audio? Yes. Keep_audio is on by default and the source audio carries into the output MP4. Turn it off if you're adding new audio in post.
How do you run Kling O3 video to video editing online? You can run it online through Floyo. No installation, no setup. Open the workflow in your browser, upload your clip, and hit run.
