Prompt: Describe the change and what to preserve. "Change the outfit to a red dress, keep the pose and background" is clearer than "make it fancy." When you add references, say what each one contributes to the edit.

How does the editing work, and what are reference images for?

Use this one for quick edits and iteration, and Pro when you need maximum detail or accurate text in the image.

Do the outputs have a watermark?
Yes. Google applies an invisible SynthID watermark to images from Nano Banana to mark them as AI-generated or edited. It does not change how the image looks, but it stays embedded in the file.

Can I keep a character or object consistent across edits?
Yes. Character and style consistency is one of Nano Banana's strengths, so the same face, product, or style can carry across multiple edits. Say what to preserve in your prompt, like keeping a subject's face or a product's shape, so it stays recognisable through the change.

Can I use the results commercially?
Nano Banana is a proprietary Google model, so commercial use is governed by Google's terms rather than an open license. Commercial use is generally allowed, but review Google's current terms, note that outputs carry the SynthID watermark, and make sure you have the rights to any image you upload.
