HOW IT WORKS

Step 1. Upload your two photos Put the body and scene you want to keep in the Main Image, and the face you want to swap in as the Reference. The model keeps the main photo and brings the face across. Works great with: clear front-facing faces · similar lighting · matching angles

Step 2. Leave the prompt or tweak it The default prompt merges the reference head onto the main body and works for most photos. You can leave it untouched on a first run.

Step 3. Hit run The model reads the pose, swaps the face, and blends lighting and color so the result looks natural. This is a heavy workflow, so give it a little longer than a standard edit.

Step 4. Compare and save You get the original and the result side by side, so you can judge the swap against the source before you use it. Ready for: Photoshop · Figma · Canva · any editor

First time? Leave every setting as-is. The defaults (8 steps · default prompt · fixed seed) are the right starting point for almost everyone.

RECOMMENDED SETTINGS

Quick-start guide. Find the goal that matches yours and copy the settings.

  • Standard swap (most people) Start here — Both photos in, default prompt, 8 steps. The right starting point for most photos.

  • The identity is not coming through — Use a clearer, front-facing reference face shot in lighting close to the main photo. The model preserves what it can read, so a sharp reference does most of the work.

  • The swap looks pasted on — Match the angle and lighting between the two photos. Closing that gap helps the blend far more than editing the prompt.

  • Guide where the face lands — Add a mask on the main image to highlight the head region. This is optional, since the model takes the full image as reference by default.

  • Reproduce a result you liked — The seed is fixed by default. Keep it fixed and the same two photos give you the same swap again.

  • Generation feels slow — Expected. This is a multi-pass pipeline that crops, swaps, and blends. The 8-step Lightning LoRA already trims it about as far as it goes without losing quality.

Prompt: The default merges the reference head onto the main body and covers most cases. Keep any edits light and plain, like "place this face onto the person." Over-editing the prompt can pull the result off.

Steps: 8 is the tuned number for the Lightning LoRA built into this workflow. Raising it adds time without much gain.

USE CASES

🎬 Film & Content Place an actor or character's face into a scene or onto a stand-in for previs, reshoots, or social cuts without a full VFX pass.

📸 Photographers & Retouchers Bring a better expression or a different person into a group shot while the pose, body, and background stay exactly as shot.

🛍️ Marketing & E-commerce Keep a consistent face across a set of model shots for a campaign, so the same person carries through every frame.

🎭 Creators & Meme-makers Drop a face into any scene for fast, shareable content. Upload, run, and post.

FAQ

What is Qwen Image Edit 2509? Qwen Image Edit 2509 is an open-source image editing model from Alibaba's Qwen team. The "2509" marks the September 2025 release, which added multi-image editing (combining one to three images, like person plus scene) and much stronger identity consistency than earlier versions. It is released under the Apache 2.0 license and ranks among the leading open-weight image editors.

How does this keep the face looking like the right person? Qwen Image Edit 2509 was built to preserve facial identity across different poses and styles, which is what makes it a strong fit for face swaps. The workflow adds to that by reading the pose from the main photo and matching color and lighting, so the swapped face sits in the scene instead of looking dropped in.

What is the Qwen Image Lightning LoRA doing in this workflow? It is a speed LoRA. It cuts the number of sampling steps the model needs down to about 8, which brings generation time down without a meaningful loss in quality. It is already wired into the workflow, so you do not need to set anything up.

Why does this workflow take longer to run than other image edits? It is a heavy, multi-pass pipeline. It crops the region, runs the swap in two sampling passes, and blends color and lighting before stitching the result back together. That extra work is what produces a natural blend, and the Lightning LoRA is there to keep the time in check.

Can I use the face-swapped results commercially? Yes. Qwen Image Edit 2509 is released under the Apache 2.0 license, which permits commercial use, and images you generate on Floyo carry full commercial rights. You are responsible for having the right to use the faces and photos you upload.

Why does my output show two images side by side? That is by design. The workflow places the original and the swapped result next to each other so you can compare the two at a glance. If you only want the final image, save the result side or adjust the workflow to skip the comparison step.

How to run Qwen Image Edit 2509 online? You can run Qwen Image Edit 2509 online through Floyo. No installation, no setup, no GPU to rent. Open the workflow in your browser, upload your two photos, and hit run. Free to try.

WHY FLOYO?

Floyo is the only platform with team collaboration for ComfyUI in the browser. You run workflows with no install. You share run history, assets, and models across your team. You pay only when you generate. Floyo supports open-source and closed-source models.

A creator runs a swap and likes the result. A teammate opens that exact run from shared history and keeps going. No file handoffs. No version confusion.

For studios and enterprise teams, Floyo adds private workspaces, pooled resources, and a team usage dashboard. Other ComfyUI cloud tools run for one person at a time. Floyo runs for the whole team, with transparent per-generation costs.

Ready to try it? Upload your two photos and run it. The prompt and settings are already set.
