Easily swap characters in video with Wan Animate!

How it works:

If you are using an actor's performance over a generated background plate

  1. Take background plate and driving performance into After Effects or similar

  2. Roto-brush/mask actor over the background plate

  3. Export video and import into Wan Animate

  4. Run workflow once imported, and wait for first frame to appear in the "points editor" then cancel the run

  5. Add masking points to the actor

  6. Add prompt and adjust other parameters

  7. Run again all the way through

If you are using I2V footage with an already animated character, but need to apply face performance:

  1. Load I2V as performance input

  2. Load face performance in the specified video upload node (make sure group is activated)

  3. Same as above, run workflow until first frame populates in points editor, then cancel the run

  4. Instead of masking the whole character, add points over the character's face only

  5. Add prompt and adjust parameters

  6. Run until complete!

Pose retargeting:

For our characters, human actors may warp body proportions and make the output characters look more human-like vs cartoonish, you may fix this by using the "Pose Bone Manipulation" node, adjusting head scale, arms scale, shoulder length, etc, this will force Wan Animate to generate at those more cartoonish proportions!
